Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built a creator program and ran the paid ad engine beside it. For Bandit Running I would run the same playbook: a hook library, one variable per test, losers killed early. I have never run running apparel, so the first weeks test fit, fabric and pockets before anything scales.

Why now

  • 2

Reviews on the Gridlock quarter tights

The Men's Gridlock™ Quarter Tights show a 5.0 rating on two reviews. Creator videos add proof where the page has little.

    Published
  • 1

Review on the CoolGrid 2-in-1 short

The Men's CoolGrid™ 2-in-1 Run Short - Slate Multi has one review. Real runs in the shorts would add more proof.

    Published
  • 10%

    Members offer

Members get 10% off every order, so a creator video can give a reason to join The Membership.

    Published
  • $175

    US free shipping line

Free shipping starts at $175 on US orders. Every Bandit brief carries that line exactly as the site writes it.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect: cost per 1,000 views

The target is $1 per 1,000 views. The simulator lands at $5.74 on $10,050, so every Bandit format earns its slot by moving that number.

  2. One variable per test

Same Specter tee, same cut, one new hook at a time. Losers are killed early and winners go into the hook library.

  3. Only Bandit's own words

Creators quote the claims sheet: Brooklyn, 100% Peruvian cotton, members' 10% off. No health or injury wording.

  4. Ramp slowly, two creators a week

Zero live at the start, then 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. A weak hook on the women's crops shows up before the full roster is paid.

One channel for everything

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. MayaMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: Men's Specter™ Performance Run Tee with Flopack™. 7 videos each, one hook per video, one variable per test. Film a real run and tag the partnership.

  2. JonahMon 11:10 AM

Can I say the Heavyweight Cotton Box Tee helps with recovery after runs?

No. Stay on the sheet: Made with 100% Peruvian cotton. Structured, boxy fit, with a lived in feel.

  3. Report botAppTue 9:00 AM

Weekly report ready: cost per 1,000 views against $1, hooks ranked, two losers killed in the Vanisher race crop format.

  4. MayaWed 2:15 PM

Priya, draft sent back. The line saying the Lite Run™ socks never slip is not on the sheet. Cut it, keep the Brooklyn opening and resend today.

  5. PriyaThu 6:40 PM

My CoolGrid 2-in-1 run short video just passed 100,000 views, all organic.

Logged. The $50 flat bonus is yours, one per month. I'm sending the video to the paid test queue.

  6. Report botAppFri 10:00 AM

Check passed on all drafts: no health wording, price shown as $108.00, partnership tag present, free shipping line matches the sheet.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Race crop pocket test

    Brief 01

    Race crop pocket test

“Watch me load this crop for a race.”

Handheld, one take: load gels into the pockets, jog out of frame, cut to the finish line.

  2. Compression shorts, long run

    Brief 02

    Compression shorts, long run

“Long run, compression shorts, no edits. Here's how it went.”

Mount the phone on a chest strap, film the start and the last mile, speak the verdict to camera at the end.

  3. Cold-morning layer

    Brief 03

    Cold-morning layer

“One long sleeve for the whole run. Let me show you.”

Film outside at dawn, outfit check to camera, then one cut per mile. Just breathing and the route, no voiceover.

  4. Race-day kit check

    Brief 04

    Race-day kit check

“My race-day kit, piece by piece, before the start.”

Lay the kit on a bed, name each piece, then wear it to the start line. Mention only claims from the sheet.

  5. Run-to-coffee tee

    Brief 05

    Run-to-coffee tee

“Run in it, then coffee in it. Same tee.”

Two scenes: the run, then a café stop. Same outfit, one cut, a caption naming the Specter tee and its price.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Made with 100% Peruvian cotton.”, “Members get 10% off every order.”, “Born in Brooklyn, refined by the NYC Running Community.”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • NYC run clubs

Bandit was born in Brooklyn and refined by the NYC Running Community, so I start with clubs and runners already in that scene.

  • Current wearers

Customers who already post Bandit gear: tag searches for Vanisher, Specter and CoolGrid pieces, checked for runner-first content.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on the site. The menu lists The Program and Athletes entries I will read before any outreach.

  • Referrals from the first creators

Each early creator on the Bandit roster refers one runner they trust. Bandit's lead approves every referral before a brief goes out.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Runs on camera

Shows real runs, not studio shots, so Bandit's pockets and fit are seen in motion.

  2. 2Audience fit

Followers who run, in places where Bandit already has a story, starting with NYC.

  3. 3Clean claims history

No past posts with health or injury promises about apparel.

  4. 4Hook sense

Opens a video with a question in the first line, tested on a Bandit draft.

  5. 5Reliable on deadlines

Sends drafts on time; the first brief on the Specter tee is the trial.

Part 7 of 15

Who we want

  • Marathon trainee

Posts weekly long runs; the race crop and its gel pockets suit race-day prep.

Likely product: Women's Vanisher™ Race Crop - Bauhaus Blue

  • Brooklyn club runner

Club-night content that shows the key fob pocket and the waterproof phone pocket.

Likely product: Men's CoolGrid™ 2-in-1 Run Short - Slate Multi

  • Cold-weather commuter

Shows dawn layers; the pullover is described as heat-mapped for warmth with breathability.

Likely product: Men's Hitaishō™ Asymmetric Zip Pullover - Cocoa

  • Speed and race nerd

Kit checks and splits; the commemorative CPH '26 speedsuit fits the race footage.

    Likely product: CPH '26 Men's Ares Flex™ & Superbeam™ Speedsuit

  • Style-first runner

Run-to-coffee content in a boxy tee made with 100% Peruvian cotton.

Likely product: Unisex Heavyweight Cotton Box Tee

  • Sock and hat collector

Small-ticket gear videos: socks at $36.00, hats at $55.00, a low-cost way to try Bandit.

Likely product: Lite Run™ Quarter Sock - Bauhaus Blue (2 Pack)

Left off, every time

Always left out: anyone who makes health or injury claims about apparel, anyone with a record of faked reviews, accounts that post only paid content with no real runs, and anyone who would quote a price or discount Bandit has not printed.

Claims

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Made with 100% Peruvian cotton.”

Voiceover and caption on Heavyweight Cotton Box Tee videos

  • “Structured, boxy fit, with a lived in feel.”

Fit description on box tee videos

  • “Meticulously crafted running singlets, tops, shorts, tights, sweats, hats and socks.”

    Intro line on kit-check videos

  • “Born in Brooklyn, refined by the NYC Running Community.”

Opening line on any Bandit video

  • “Members get 10% off every order.”

Call to action at the end of a video

  • “FREE SHIPPING ALL ORDERS $175 US, $200 INT’L”

Caption or end card, in the same words

  • “Constructed in 100% combed cotton.”

    Cropped hoodie videos

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Stops chafing for good

A health-style outcome; Bandit's pages make no such claim.

  • Lowers your injury risk

Injury outcomes are never claimed for apparel.

  • Compression helps you recover faster

A recovery claim; not Bandit's wording and not allowed in this category.

  • Faster than other brands

A comparison the site does not support.

  • Sold in running stores everywhere

No retailer was found in what was read.

  • Worn by elite athletes

Nothing confirms athlete use; do not turn a name into an endorsement.

  • Use my code for a discount

Creator codes do not exist; only the members offer is on the site.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • regulates heat

Fabric wording on one product page; confirm with Bandit that it can be spoken in a video.

  • Members get early access to everything

Confirm whether early access timing can be mentioned before a drop.

  • Ships free to every country

The site gives a US and an international threshold; confirm which countries apply.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

For new creators with a small but real running audience, starting on two Bandit formats.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

For creators who hit the Specter and CoolGrid formats on time and keep claims clean.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

For creators whose Bandit videos keep winning hook tests and who can film every format.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • The $50 flat bonus is paid once per creator per month, however many videos pass 100,000 views.
  • The bonus belongs to one video and is counted on that video's own organic views.
  • Only organic views count: a Bandit video pushed with ad budget does not earn the bonus.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, even past 100,000 views.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

At ten creators, 303 videos reach 1.8M views for $10,050: $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1. It needs 4.2% of videos going viral or a median of 21,711 views.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Live counts step 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 across six weeks; 7 videos each a week; the first Monday reports go to Bandit's lead.

  3. Month 2

    Kill losers, back winners

  4. Month 3

    Lock the roster

Move the best creators to the Premium band, keep Starter slots open for new tests; 303 videos a month at ten creators.

  5. Day 90

  6. Monthly ceiling

    $15,000 at the top cap

The roster grows by two creators a week, so hook performance can be read week over week instead of by anecdote.

To paid

From organic to paid

  1. Post organic

A creator posts the Bandit video; views are counted organic only.

  2. Pick winners

Videos that pass 100,000 views, or beat the median in their hook test, go on a shortlist.

  3. Clear rights

The creator approves in writing that Bandit can run the video as an ad, and the claims sheet is checked again.

  4. Test in paid

Winners go into ad tests one variable at a time; losers are killed early.

From the video to the checkout

  • Send traffic to the product page of the featured piece, such as the Women's Vanisher™ Race Crop at $88.00.
  • Carry the shipping line in the same words: FREE SHIPPING ALL ORDERS $175 US, $200 INT’L.
  • Close with the members line: Members get 10% off every order.
  • Gift Cards sit in the accessories menu, so holiday videos can route there.
  • Flagships & Stockists is in the menu; I check it before any video points to a store.

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Running apparel rules for Bandit creators

Bandit sells apparel, so claims stay on fabric, fit, pockets and price. Six rules keep every video inside that.

  • Fabric and fit only

Say what the product page says, like Made with 100% Peruvian cotton on the Heavyweight Cotton Box Tee. No performance promises beyond the sheet.

  • No health or injury wording

No recovery, injury, pain or medical outcomes for compression sleeves, tights or any Bandit piece, on screen or in captions.

  • Tag the partnership

Every paid video carries a clear partnership label in the caption and on screen, before the first scene ends.

  • Prices as shown

Quote prices the way the site shows them, like $88.00 for the Women's Vanisher™ Race Crop. If a price changes, the video is updated or pulled.

  • Only real offers

Mention only the members 10% off and the free shipping line from the site. No creator codes and no invented deadlines.

  • Real runs, real gear

Show the actual piece on a real run. Never write or reword customer reviews, including the two on the Gridlock quarter tights.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
